Prof. Alemán leads an independent research group since 2015. Her group currently consists of 3 permanent associates, 2 “Ramón y Cajal” researchers, one assistant professor and 12 PhD students. He has an international reputation in homogeneous catalysis, including organocatalysis and photocatalysis. He has been the principal investigator of more than 20 research projects including ERC Consolidator and Proof of Concept Grants. He has been awarded with 5 research prizes and one academic recognition. With over 220 publications, his h-index is 47 (Scopus, January 2025).
